The Blues Academy

The Blues Academy is the latest exciting collaboration between myself, ex L.A. Doors front man Nigel Feist, amazing bass player Andee Price..  The range of music ranges from sublime Frank Sinatra to foot stomping boogie woogie Blues.  Blues Academy interweave classic tunes with Ansell's amazing piano performance and Feist's soul wrenching Blues harmonica and crooning tones such as One for my baby, Caldonia, That’s Life, Jitterbug Boogie, Well Alright (I’m in love with you), Help Me and Summertime.

 

 

Blues Abuse

Richard's partnership with guitarist Steve Morrison is packed with a raw Saturday night rhythm & blues energy. Richard brings extensive musical knowledge to the pairing and satisfies one of Steve's passions, Boogie Woogie. Together their boogies and rock & roll numbers thunder along like trains. But there is also Richard's classical background which lends subtlety and elegance to many of the arrangements: tasteful use of melody and chords riding along side Steve's earthy delta blues feel. bluesabuse.com
